Message from Club Captain

Dear Members and Guests,

Pezula Golf Club Captain For those of you who have not yet enjoyed our Golf course, or perhaps have had a game or two some time ago, I would encourage you to book a round as soon as possible.

Pezula has been working tirelessly on improving what was already a great golfing experience, into one that is simply too good to miss. The positive feedback we have been experiencing from foreign and local golfers alike has encouraged us to continue to find ways in which to continue to improve the world class facility we presently enjoy.

I joined Pezula back in 2000 when the first 9 holes were opened whilst still residing in Cape Town. The new course, then known as Sparrebosch, so captivated me that it played no small part in my decision to relocate to the Garden Route.

The last 15 years has seen this club enjoy numerous awards and in the latest Golf Digest ratings we were ranked 16th in South Africa. The new ratings will be published again soon and we are confident of improving our position yet again.

Irrespective of whether you are a low or a high handicap I guarantee you will enjoy the experience of playing at Pezula. We look forward to welcoming you to our piece of paradise.

Message From The Ladies Captain

Pezula Golf Club Ladies Captain I have been a member of Pezula since February 2006. From the first moment I played the course I fell completely in love with it. When I stand on the 13th tee and look out over the sweeping Indian Ocean ( as well as a very inviting fairway! ) I thank whatever fates brought me to Knysna and Pezula.

Our ladies’ membership is small, friendly and encompasses both a range of nationalities and handicaps. Being a resort course, we have a large number of “swallows” and so the summer months find us with a bigger playing group, but the winter months when the course is quiet and the whales may be spotted, it is one of the best places to be and it is no wonder we have a dedicated number of locals who meet regularly to play.

It sounds from the above as though I am more interested in the ocean than the golf course, but one of the amazing things about Pezula is that despite being a top class, championship course, it can be played by every handicap level as we have 3 different tees to choose from. The silver tees offer a challenge to the lower handicaps or longer hitters. The normal ladies tees are the red but for those who are just starting golf or are not long hitters we have the light blue tees. This range of options ensure that all our ladies, and we have from single figures all the way up, can enjoy golf each and every time they play.

We welcome both visitors and new members to join us so please book a round soon and come and see one of the best courses in the Garden Route.

Liz Keller
